Whew! It was so nice to have a face-to-face discussion! I really enjoyed learning about Kahoot-it! I can't wait to share this site with my co-workers. I would like to learn about more sites like Kahoot-it in future classes. Also websites, programs, or apps that are geared more toward little people (K-2) are an interest to me. I really enjoyed tonight's class and look forward to tomorrows.
Jess
K-2, wow. Those kids would eat my lunch. Check out my 10 educational websites. I think I posted a couple for elementary teachers. Check out tenmarks.com, It might not go as low as k-2 though.
ReplyDeleteI love, love, love your blog and that cutie-patootie font! I loved Kahoot also! That was such fun, and I can definitely see how it could be used in the classroom for a variety of topics.
ReplyDeleteI'm eager to learn what other cool sites and gadgets are out there and available to us.
Oh, and for the record, I was THRILLED we all met in a real classroom last weekend too. WHEW!!!!
I really enjoyed Kahoot as well! I look forward to being able to pass that site on to my friends that are becoming teachers! I was so happy to SEE everyone's smiling faces this past weekend :)!
ReplyDeleteYour blog is so pretty! If I work as a generalist teacher, I also want to work with the "little people" (K-2)! and desire to learn about educational technology that may engage them and make learning fun:-)
ReplyDeleteI thought Kahoot was a lot of fun as well. I think kids enjoy when they can learn through playing a game. Who wouldn't want to play games instead of complete boring worksheets?
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed having face-to-face discussions as well this weekend!
I loved the Kahoot game! So much fun! I'm so happy to have such wonderful classmates that I can actually see : )
ReplyDeleteTechnology for little ones... very interesting. I share a concern that I have heard you express about developing their motor skills before we send them off on creating their own blogs. The search for balance continues...
ReplyDeleteJohn, I agree fine motor skills may be a problem as well as development of writing skills. What about a blog for younger kids that incorporates drawings instead of writing. Students could draw about a story and then share it with parents and/or classmates. Just an idea!
ReplyDeleteBalance seems to be a constant theme in this class. Of course, what aspect of life doesn't require balance? (Psst, they all do) :) But we shall press forward and continue to figure it out.....
ReplyDeleteJess,
ReplyDeleteLove the background! Very creative! You are beautiful!
Ashley, you are very correct. Balance in everything!!!
